The Autumn Kaleidoscope Got Changed (Album, Sing to Us) is the second album from Satanstompingcaterpillars. This album represents some of the most stripped-down music of the project, with most songs featuring only an acoustic guitar, vocals, and sparing effects and keyboards. Tobacco states in an interview that Neutral Milk Hotel partly influenced The Autumn Kaleidoscope's sound, "I saw that you can sit there with an acoustic guitar, and not polish anything, and blow stuff out whenever you want to, and it can still be so real and beautiful", he states.[1]

Planned ReissueEdit

There is some uncertainty as to a planned re-issue of this release. On the Black Moth Super Rainbow discography page around late 2003, there is stated to be an Autumn Kaleidoscope 3" CD-r EP with a re-release date of December 2003.[2] The tracklisting of the supposed 3" CD-r was listed as:

  1. Colorful Nickels
  2. Appleworm
  3. The Sad Branch
  4. Boatfriend
  5. Oat
  6. Theautumnkaleidoscopenowhaships

However, Power Pill Fist has stated on the BMSR fan messageboard that the 3" CD-r was an idea that never materialized.[3]

On September 26, 2009, it was announced that The Autumn Kaleidoscope Got Changed (Album, Sing to Us) and EP, Sing To Us "will be given the deluxe reissue treatment on double vinyl", with EP, Sing To Us being pressed on a specially etched vinyl. According to the Black Moth Super Rainbow website, a special preorder version includes a tree girl t-shirt.[4] Fans who ordered the preorder version recieved an email containing a link to download the tracks from EP, Sing To Us.
